@@icey_b1562 It is not that they are not capable, but it is not within their target clients. To build a 8 micron TIR spindle you need a 5 micron TIR lathe head and their clients are not eager to pay for that kind of precision in a lathe, as it is unnecessary to most of their application. To understand Haas one needs to follow the money route, not the ''it would be nice to have it'' route.....

Can this setting affect the lifespan of the vector drive, even below maximum spindle load? I've heard of a scenario where the spindle encoder belt was slack causing the spindle to hunt and subsequently cooking the vector drive, this seems similar.

Hi, I have a Haas and Mastercam with a 4th (A) axis. Is it possible to do 4th DWO option during simultaneous work? That is, if you fix the cylindrical stock off-axis, it will freewheel as if it were a crankshaft, but will it be able to process evenly from all sides? Is this possible? I am resetting the parts in full axis right now. I just wondered about the DWO convenience. Is this option included when I buy 5 Axis? By the way u r great man John.

Don't fear 5 axis...Fear having to change offsets in 8axis.
